#CTC376 CASE Mini Catalogue

CASE the new July-December Mini Catalogue:

I've turned to Page 54 and used the layout with the apple card on the right:

Onto a base of Soft Sea Foam I've added a strip of Tea Boutique DSP at an angle. Next I've used a Teacup stamp from Cup of Tea together with Smokey Slate ink and cardstock to stamp the image all over for the background. In hindsight the original looks like it may have been stamped off, but I didn't mind the heavier images.

I embossed a scrap of Soft Sea Foam cardstock with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder and diecut a circle from it using a Layering Circles die which I glued onto the stamped background. The teacup was diecut with the Teacup Dies from another sheet of Tea Boutique DSP and added to the embossed circle. The greeting from Cup of Tea was masked off and stamped with Orchid Oasis ink onto a strip of Basic White cardstock and popped into place.

A relatively easy layout to replicate but quite different from the original.

Just because you don't have product from the new catalogue on hand, doesn't mean you can't join us in CASEing the Catty Sunday challenge this week. Make your card and post it to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Next on the hop we have our friend Rebecca and her pretty pastel card:

#CTC375 CASE Favourite Retiring Product

CASE your Favourite Retiring Product from the January - June Mini catalogue

I've turned to Page 55 and the Bragworthy card to the left:

I've kept the overall look very similar although didn't own any of the items used in the original. I've used a base of Thick Basic White. Next I've used the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder and swiped Sahara Sand ink over the outline side and embossed another piece of Basic White cardstock. This has been added in lieu of the DSP used above. I've used the same shelf of Basic Black cardstock.

The bottle is Old Olive and punched with the Vintage Bottle Punch. Behind I've added foliage diecut with one of the Meadow Dies out of Blackberry Bliss cardstock. I had a couple of Hydrangea diecuts floating from my last project and added those to my bottle. The greeting is from Charming Sentiments, inked with Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock. I've used a similar diagonal DSP to the original although this one is from the Hostess DSP pack Design a Daydream.

A mat of Blackberry Bliss was added and the greeting is hung on the wall rather than sitting on the shelf.

The Design a Daydream DSP was the inspiration for the colours of the vase and foliage.

What Favourite Retiring Product will inspire you to join our challenge this week? Make your card and post to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

#CTC370 CASE a Mini Catalogue Bundle Project

CASE a Bundle Project from Pgs 75-83 of the January-June Mini Catalogue:

I thought it was about I played with the Hello Ladybug Bundle. So it was this card on Page 80 for me, just switching things a little bit, keeping the same layout.

I've punched the base of the ladybug from Basic Black cardstock using the Ladybug Builder Punch. The wings are Black Memento dots with Parakeet Party for the main colour. I have then punched these out with the same Ladybug Builder Punch and adhered to the neck of the main body.

The leaves are Garden Green cardstock punched with the Ladybug Builder punch again and then spritzed and squished up then undone and left to dry. I love the texture this gives.

I've added background texture to Sahara Sand using a stamp from Quiet Meadow and Soft Suede ink stamped off once. Then I've run this layer through the Cut & Emboss machine with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. Behind this I've added a mat of Parakeet Party cardstock then I've added it to a base of Thick Whisper White.

The greeting is from Hello Ladybug stamped in Soft Suede ink onto Parakeet Party cardstock and diecut with one of the Beautiful Shapes Dies then stuck in place.

The leaves were adhered to the ladybug and they were added to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I think I will be able to move on from mourning the loss of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock after the introduction of this new In Colour - well for two years anyway...

The crew look forward to seeing you CASE a Mini Catalogue Bundle project, posting your creation to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

#CTC351 Sale-a-bration

 CASE the new Sale-a-bration Catalogue

I've chosen the card on the far right of page 17:

I started with a base card of Highland Heather and cut a mat smaller than the card which I spritzed, crumpled and tore before embossing with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.

I used Eden's Garden images to stamp the foliage in Highland Heather onto a panel of Basic White card which was also torn at the bottom edge. I've adhered these to the base card and added foliage diecut in Highland Heather cardstock with Meadow Dies.

Soft Sea Foarm was my chosen contrast cardstock to diecut the circle shape with Tasteful Labels dies and the Pansy Patch greeting has been stamped with Highland Heather ink. A piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding was added behind the greeting.

The card has a few rhinestones to finish.

We look forward to seeing your project added to our Facebook page = you can use the link over on the right to find it.

#CTC321 CASE a Mini Catty Project and Give a Masculine Twist

CASE a Layout from the Mini Catalogue and Give it a Masculine Twist!

My inspiration came from the card on the top right Page 35:

I've diecut five stars from Gray Granite cardstock using Stitched Stars Dies and embossed using the following Embossing Folders: Brick & Mortar 3D, Bark 3D and Tasteful Textile 3D.

My base card is Gray Granite and the DSP from In Good Taste is matted with Night of Navy and attached to the base. Then the stars were adhered in place. The greeting from Garden Wishes is inked with Night of Navy onto Gray Granite and diecut using the Meadow Dies with some Night of Navy Baker's Twine added to the back and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Quite a switch from the CASEd card, don't you think?

The crew would love to see your version of the challenge. Post your project to our Facebook page before next Sunday evening using the link over on the right.

Next up we're off to see what Monique has for us:

#CTC269 Favourite Retiring Bundle Week 1

CASE your favourite Retiring Bundle from either catalogue:

I've chosen the bundle of Daisy Lane stamp set and Medium Daisy punch on page 23. Don't panic - they are sticking around, just not as a bundle.

My daisies have been white embossed onto vellum and punched out, with two daisy shapes for each flower stuck together and then the centres were coloured with a Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend.

The base is Night of Navy. I have a mat of crumb cake which was embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing folder and added to another mat of Whisper White.  The daisies have been adhered to a Seaside Spray die cut with a Stitched Nested Label die. The greeting stamped in Night of Navy is from the retiring Love What You Do stamp set. The daisies have been gently shaped with a bone folder and attached using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I unfortunately need to send some sympathy cards and created this one with the same bundle. Onto a base of thick Whisper White I've added a mat of Old Olive embossed with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. A Whisper White die cut with the same Stitched Nested Label die as above has been stamped with the leaf image from Daisy Lane in Old Olive. I've inked the daisy stamp with Mango Melody ink and sponged the edge and centre with Poppy Parade ink before stamping it onto Whisper White cardstock, then punched it out. I cut a bit of a cone shape as I cut the flower into two then trimmed off a petal adhering this piece behind the first one.

My greeting is from the retiring Kindness and Compassion stamp set. As I didn't want to hide the leaves of the flower, I stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White, and then over the top of the stamped image, lining the greetings up and adhering together. The daisy has again been adhered with a Stampin' Dimensional.

We wonder what your favourite retiring bundle is? Make a card and add it to our Facebook page using the link over on the right so we can see what you chose.

#CTC266 - CASE our Sketch for an Easter Card - Week 2

Week 2 but don't panic you still have a week left to CASE an Easter card and add it to our Facebook page using the link over to the right:

Using this Sketch:

This week I used the Dinoroar DSP as my starting point as I wanted to incorporate the pattern with the little eggs in it. From there I chose the background Pretty Peacock as my base card, and the mat of Mango Melody was embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.

Next I stamped the feature image from Forever Blossoms in Pretty Peacock ink and coloured using Mango Melody and Soft Sea Foam Stampin' Blends. I diecut the image with the Cherry Blossoms Dies and mounted it to a Stitched Shapes oval diecut in Soft Sea Foam to incorporate the colour I chose for my leaves. The oval and image have been raised using Stampin' Dimensionals. The greeting is the same as I used last week from Timeless Tulips, in Pretty Peacock ink onto Whisper White and then tucked it under the flowers.

Our sketch has been great to see interpreted in so many ways and I think it lends itself well to an any occasion card, just switch out the colours and greeting as required.

I didn't feel this photo showed off the card as much, but because animal pictures (of late especially) are making us smile, I promised Rove I'd still include it!. Daylight savings is upon us and nice to still be enjoying the sunshine in April.

Hope you are staying safe where you are. Time to pop over and see what our talented Tina has for us this week:
