You'll find a good picture of the DSP on page 74 - you can choose as many of the colours as you would like to use:
In case you can't read the colours clearly on the picture, they are: Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, Rococo Rose, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla.
Crumb Cake - Happy Birthday words (also from New Wonders stamp set)
Daffodil Delight - Hair
Merry Merlot - Mat and Hearts
Mossy Meadow - Leaves
Night of Navy - Dress and Wings
Pear Pizzazz - Leaves
Rococo Rose - Paper
The weather here is quite chilly so I chose to take my photo at ground level with my fairly permanent log fire monitor - Simba. You don't see too many photos of him, he's a fiery ginger with health issues and a short fuse - it's his way or the highway! A two strike cat - first a warning and then the strike, so I didn't mess too much, and he was sure to keep an eye on the proceedings. Don't be too alarmed, when all is well in his world he has the loudest purr and we love him dearly.
I've masked the little lady to do the stamping in Crumb Cake, stamping three times after inking to give dimension. Finished off with a little bit of Wink of Stella on the wings and hearts, bit hard for you to see though.
This hostess set is so full of cute images and versatile greetings - a winner in my book and I think it will see a lot of use from me.
Love to see what you come up with using this colour palette. Post it to our Facebook page using the link over to the right. Before you go, please stop over at Tina's pretty floral card and be sure to keep on hopping - the crew have a fabulous variety to share with you.
Oh wow Sandra. This little cutie is so dimensional she almost looks 3D! Stunning colouring. And well done using all the colours. That's quite an achievement! I love the layered stamping for the greeting. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I think I'd love to case you please!
ReplyDeleteThanks Julia and please do case, I'd be honoured :)
DeleteThis is so cute and I love how you managed to get all of the colours on the card. That is an achievement in itself! And for it not to look overpowered by too many colours! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you Michelle
DeleteSimba is a fantastic model. I've had a few firey ginger cats and they are the best! Your card is beautiful, the colouring is so lovely. I have this set but haven't inked it up yet, you've definitely given me nudge to do so and some great tips for colouring.
ReplyDeleteLol they sure are Siobhan, and thanks
DeleteLovely showcase of this stamp-fab layout
ReplyDeleteI think this is a very cute card, and well done you for using all the colours.
