#CTC375 CASE Favourite Retiring Product

CASE your Favourite Retiring Product from the January - June Mini catalogue

I've turned to Page 55 and the Bragworthy card to the left:

I've kept the overall look very similar although didn't own any of the items used in the original. I've used a base of Thick Basic White. Next I've used the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder and swiped Sahara Sand ink over the outline side and embossed another piece of Basic White cardstock. This has been added in lieu of the DSP used above. I've used the same shelf of Basic Black cardstock.

The bottle is Old Olive and punched with the Vintage Bottle Punch. Behind I've added foliage diecut with one of the Meadow Dies out of Blackberry Bliss cardstock. I had a couple of Hydrangea diecuts floating from my last project and added those to my bottle. The greeting is from Charming Sentiments, inked with Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock. I've used a similar diagonal DSP to the original although this one is from the Hostess DSP pack Design a Daydream.

A mat of Blackberry Bliss was added and the greeting is hung on the wall rather than sitting on the shelf.

The Design a Daydream DSP was the inspiration for the colours of the vase and foliage.

What Favourite Retiring Product will inspire you to join our challenge this week? Make your card and post to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Next on the hop we have Rachel and her sweet little elephant card:

#CTC360 CASE a Masking Project

CASE a Masking Project from either catalogue:

I've chosen the image on the left of Page 26:

I used a page from a telephone directory to tear my edging and held a piece of Basic White cardstock in place with washi tape then added my masking over the top with more washi tape. Using the Blender Brush I used first Daffodil Delight, then Bumblebee finishing with Calypso Coral to create the background.

The Lovely You images are stamped with Soft Succulent ink. I randomly stamped the patterns, with one of the patterns being stamped twice to make it a little darker. I didn't like the gold embossed image I chose so swapped it out for two pieces of foliage diecut with the Meadow Dies from Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen cardstock.

The base card is Evening Evergreen and the DSP used is Tidings of Christmas. The greeting stamped in Soft Succulent from So Lovely was diecut with a Meadow Die and added over the stems with Stampin' Dimensionals.

We hope you get the chance to join the challenge this week. Mask up and show us what you create using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Next up we have Michelle with a little bit of monkey business:

#CTC352 CASE the January-June Mini Catalogue

CASE the January-June Mini Catalogue

I was drawn to the card in the middle of Page 26:

I've chosen the Simply Marbleous 6" x 6" DSP and based my colour choice from there.

My base card is Coastal Cabana, with Rectangular Postage Stamp punched shapes of So Saffron, Balmy Blue and Blushing Bridge cardstock along with the co-ordinating DSP including Coastal Cabana. Some of the shapes have a piece of DSP adhered to it which you can see if you look closely at the picture in the catalogue.

In place of the white diecuts and embossing, I've opted to stamp my images with Basic Gray ink using the Quiet Meadow stamp set. The co-ordinating dies were cut from Basic Gray cardstock and the Meadow dies. My card is a little wider and not as deep as the one above and I've just increased the space between the sections a little.

I'm sure you could change the effect of this multiple times depending on your choice of colours, images and diecuts. Maybe a change in orientation too, might try that another time.

We would like to see you play along with a CASE from the new Mini Catalogue. Uploard your photo to our Facebook page before next Sunday evening using the link over to the right if you need it.

Next on the hop we have our talented friend Judy:

#CTC351 Sale-a-bration

 CASE the new Sale-a-bration Catalogue

I've chosen the card on the far right of page 17:

I started with a base card of Highland Heather and cut a mat smaller than the card which I spritzed, crumpled and tore before embossing with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.

I used Eden's Garden images to stamp the foliage in Highland Heather onto a panel of Basic White card which was also torn at the bottom edge. I've adhered these to the base card and added foliage diecut in Highland Heather cardstock with Meadow Dies.

Soft Sea Foarm was my chosen contrast cardstock to diecut the circle shape with Tasteful Labels dies and the Pansy Patch greeting has been stamped with Highland Heather ink. A piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding was added behind the greeting.

The card has a few rhinestones to finish.

We look forward to seeing your project added to our Facebook page = you can use the link over on the right to find it.

Next on the hop we have the lovely Rebecca:

#CTC348 CASE Sketch

CASE the Sketch on Page 47 of the July-December Mini Catalogue

Which also has a Sketch map for you to use:

I've used a full card size layer of In Good Taste DSP with a similar background to the CASE above. Next I've diecut a piece of Petal Pink cardstock with the Eden Dies.

I then stamped the Happiest of Birthdays greeting in Blackberry Bliss and added diecuts of Blackberry Bliss from Meadow Dies then finished with Baker's Twine wrapped around the card and a bow added on top.

This card was designed with my mother in mind as today's her birthday! Happy Birthday Mum xx.

First time using the Eden Dies and it won't be the last!

Time now to hop over and check out Michelle's fun Christmas twist:

#CTC344 CASE an Embossing Project

CASE an Embossing Project - you choose, heat embossed, dry embossed....

I've turned to Page 54 of the July-December Mini Catalogue and the card on the bottom right:

I've started with a piece of Basic White cardstock which I white heat embossed twice with the image from Quiet Meadow. I've then used the resist ink technique with Pool Party ink and a blending brush. Next I've dry embossed this with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing folder.

I've added a couple of strips of Pattern Party DSP. Onto this a diecut from Meadow Dies of foliage in Mango Melody was added, as it toned with my choice of DSP and added colour without the fussiness of the original card. My greeting is stamped in Basic Gray ink from Turtle Friends onto a strip of Basic White and adhered in place.

The whole layer was added to a base of Basic Gray cardstock and finished with a few Metallic Pearls.

My embossing doesn't stand out as much as the original but it works for what I was after. Not sure if that was my colour sponging choice or the image I used was a little finer than the one they used to emboss.

We hope to see you play along CASEing an Embossing project this week. Just post your project to our Facebook page using the link over on the right. You have to join the page first and answer a couple of simple questions.

I can't wait to see what Rachel has to share with us this week:

#CTC341 - Case a Glittery/Sparkly Project from either Catalogue

CASE a Glittery/Sparkly Project from either Catalogue

For me, I've turned to Page 44 of the Mini Catalogue and the top middle card:

I've used a base card of Early Espresso and added the identical piece of Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP. I've used the Gold & Rose Metallic Specialty Paper and a die from Meadow Dies to cut my foliage. Instead of using the whole piece, I've snipped a couple of branches and turned them upside down adhering all the pieces onto the DSP. A panel of another piece of Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP has been laid over the top of that with a strip of Gold & Rose Metallic Specialty Paper and then the greeting.

The greeting from Quiet Meadow has been stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Basic White and diecut with another die from Meadow Dies. In lieu of the stamped foliage in the original, I've diecut a butterfly from Meadow Dies and added that to finish.

This lush DSP makes a simple card seem much more special..

What's your favourite Glittery/Sparkly project? Maybe you'll CASE it and add your photo to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening. Please do - we would love to see your take.

Next on the hop we are headed over to our Queensland friend Rebecca and her fabulous foliage card:

#CTC325 CASE a Die Bundle

CASE a Die Bundle from pages 156-161 of the Annual Catalogue:

Page 160 for me and this card on the bottom left:

Firstly I cut three of the same die silhouettes from Meadow Dies in Very Vanilla, Early Espresso and Basic White. I changed the orientation to landscape and cut a top layer from a sheet of In Good Taste DSP which was attached to a mat of Blackberry Bliss and added to a base card of Basic White.

The diecuts were added in a fan shape and adhered with a rectangle of Blackberry Bliss card added, then the greeting from Quiet Meadow stamped in Blackberry Bliss was diecut with the same Meadow Dies and adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly a little butterfly with the words stamped in Blackberry Bliss onto a scrap of Basic White and again using the Meadow Dies to cut out, also attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

We look forward to seeing what you create using the Die Bundle section of the catalogue as your inspiration.

Next up we have Monique with a little bit of Christmas inspiration for you:

#CTC324 CASE a Retiring Mini Project

CASE a Retiring Mini Catalogue Project:

The card in the centre of Page 29 provided my inspiration:

After trimming a piece of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper to fit the front of the card, I've diecut  it using the Beautiful Brushstrokes Dies to create the cutouts.

Using Petal Pink, Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo cardstock I've diecut the layers for the roses. The last two colours have had adhesive sheet attached to the back to make it easy to layer the finished roses. Next Pear Pizzazz and Granny Apple Green provided the colour for the leaves again attaching adhesive sheet to the Pear Pizzazz before cutting.

The greeting from Brushed Blooms was stamped in Mint Macaron ink onto the diecut shape from Meadow Dies. Everything was built onto a Mint Macaron card base. In lieu of the twine circle, I've chosen a bow using the Blushing Bride Baker's Twine in the Snail Mail Twine Combo pack.

I've finished with some of the Sequins For Everything in Flirty Flamingo.

The DSP used would lend itself well to any of the colours for the background.

Hopefully this will give you a better view of the layers involved:

We'd love to see your CASE of a Retiring Mini Project - please post it to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Next up we have Rebecca and her cute little roos:
