Social Stamping - Hearts

Back with Kelly Kent's Social Stamping Blog Hop and the Covid theme of "Hearts".

If you'd like to check out the previous themes other blog hops telling a different part of the Covid story each week, click on Kelly's name above.

Hearts isn't something I use a lot of when stamping but last week I used the Puzzle Pieces dies for another challenge and had a bit of fun, so I thought I'd do something different with them using the heart shaped puzzle die.

.
I chose some of the Brights Collection colours and cut a heart from Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Pacific Point. I've run each through a different embossing folder and pieced them all together.
Bermuda Bay - Country Floral 3D
Daffodil Delight - Ornate Floral 3D
Melon Mambo - Bricks & Mortar 3D
Pacific Point - Subtle 3D
To make my life easier and because I didn't think I'd need adhesive sheets, I've punched a 1" circle and adhered each puzzle piece to it to hold them together - (mental note use adhesive sheet next time!!).  I've added all my hearts to a square of Whisper White which I've matted with Basic Black. My greeting is stamped in Memento Black ink from Peaceful Moments. I think it suits Kelly - "you shouldn't have, but I'm so glad you did" get us all together social stamping. And the good news is - she's extending the hop for another month, so keep checking back to see what everyone's up to.

The gold heart in the centre is a sticker from the Painted Love Gold Vinyl Sticker pack. I recently picked these up in the Clearance Rack and I believe as at today they are still there if they interest you. This was my first time using them and luckily for me, when I accidentally dropped it, the placement worked as it wasn't planning on moving!

To add a bit of a twist, I've punched some of the hearts from the retired Confetti Hearts Border punch and added one to each of the Melon Mambo sections.

To finish I've diecut a Rectangle Stitched die from Bermuda Bay cardstock, snipped it in half and adhered to the back of the matted square, then added it to a base card of thick Whisper White.

Thanks for stopping by, next up we have my friend Michelle from CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge: #keepstamping everyone! 😊

#CTC270 CASE Your Favourite Punches/Dies Week 2

This fortnight the crew are CASEing their favourite retiring punches or dies from either catalogue. I've gone with a die I thought I really needed at the time and have hardly used - can you relate? I still think it's great and need to give it a good workout to see whether I love it or lose it.

I've used a base of thick Whisper White cardstock. Initially I diecut a puzzle from Petal Pink cardstock and a piece of Bird Ballad DSP using the Puzzle Pieces dies and was going to mix them all up - however I decided that's not what I was after and ended up making two separate cards instead.

I've used the inlaid embossing technique. I randomly adhered the puzzle pieces to a piece of white cardstock and then embossed it with my Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder - another item I'm sad to see retire. I've matted one card with a piece of Petal Pink cardstock and the other with Pretty Peacock cardstock and added to the bases.

The greetings are from Peaceful Moments and stamped in Pretty Peacock ink onto Whisper White. I've punched this one out with the Everyday Label punch and added a Starburst punch shape in Pretty Peacock, with a couple of pieces of Petal Pink Metallic Edge ribbon. I've popped it up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

The greeting for the next card was added to a Rectangle Stitched diecut that was left over from another project. I've added it to a Pretty Pink Starburst punch shape and went without the ribbon as it was busy enough with the DSP but still popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by. We hope you'll play along and show us what your favourite retiring punch or dies are using the link over on the right.

Let's now visit Monique and her lovely butterfly cards:

#CTC266 CASE our Sketch for an Easter Card Week 1

In the midst of the pandemic crisis we find ourselves in - a Sunday Challenge seems the perfect distraction, so why don't you give it a go? Join the CASEing the Catty Challenge Group, answer a couple of simple questions and then add your project to our page - you'll find it all using the link over on the right and have a fortnight to add your photo.
Create an Easter Card:

Using this Sketch:

I've chosen a base of thick Whisper White and added a panel of So Saffron cardstock which has been embossed with the Country Floral 3D EF. I've cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies - increasing in length by partly cutting then shifting the die and cutting from the other end. I have then stamped and stamped off using the words from Timeless Tulips and Gorgeous Grape ink (I have actually snipped the photopolymer with my scissors so that the greeting was stand alone as Spring does not tie into Easter for us, so can't imagine me using that greeting as it was).

Using the same die, I cut another Stitched Nested Label shape and with Garden Green ink, stamped the stalks of my tulips. Onto a scrap of Whisper White, I've used Crushed Curry and inked three tulips and punched them out with the Tulip Builder punch. I adhered the tulip heads to the stamped stalks. Onto a piece of scrap So Saffron I've used the same greeting, wrapped a piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine around and added a bow. The greeting has been added using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Kenny, our little hair bear from last week wanted to let you know he was super lucky to be able to keep his grooming appointment before we were placed in lockdown. These luxuries and many more are all on hold in New Zealand. He was also given some Easter eggs, seen above to take home to his humans. He couldn't trust himself to be in the same photo as the eggs though!!

Let's head over to Western Australia and see what Siobhan has for us this week:

#CTC257 Kids & Babies

CASEing the Kids and Babies section pages 98-105 this week

Image may contain: text

For me, it was the picture on page 98, bottom left.

I've chosen a base card of Purple Posy, strips of cardstock (3/4" x 5 3/8"} of Perennial Essence DSP. I've added a Whisper White panel embossed with the Country Floral 3D EF. I chose to cut butterflies from a scrap of Seaside Spray from Butterfly Beauty Dies and used strips of Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere to the embossed panel. Next I've stamped the words from Floral Essence in Night of Navy onto Whisper White, fussy cut and adhered to each of the butterflies.

Might be the youngest of the house is having a birthday this week! Happy Birthday to her!!

#CTC240 Everyday Occasions

Head to the catalogue and choose anything to CASE from Page 12 through 71

No photo description available.

I found this butterfly card on page 34:

I cut 3 strips of Whisper White cardstock 1 1/2" wide and punched one end with the Everyday Label punch. I took the tiny solid butterfly image from Butterfly Gala and using Highland Heather ink I stamped 3 times before reinking the image - for those of you waiting to get your hands on Purple Posy - the last time is a very close match.

These panels were then embossed using the Country Floral 3D folder and attached to my base card of Thick Whisper White using Stampin' Dimensionals.  I've cut Pretty Peacock butterflies with the Butterfly. Beauty dies and added them along with a greeting from Varied Vases.

We hope you'll play along and add your photo to our Facebook page using the link over to the right. Next on our hop you'll find Siobhan has some cuties to share:
