#CTC267 Ornate Garden Week 2
This fortnight we are CASEing the Ornate Garden suite for #CTC267 and have been instructed to use the flowers as inspiration:
The card at the top (which was from a video on the Stampin' Up!) website inspired me:
I've used a base of thick Whisper White. My mat layer is a full card size front of Perennial Essence DSP. I've embossed with the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder and gently sanded the top of the embossing to show the white core:
I've cut three Stitched Nested Labels die shapes from Soft Sea Foam cardstock and stamped the flower stalk from Daisy Lane in Pretty Peacock onto each shape then adhered them to the embossed layer. My daisies are Petal Pink ink onto Whisper White card stock, stamped twice for each flower and cut with the Medium Daisy Punch. I've coloured the centres with the Light Mango Melody Stampin' Blend and adhered using a Stampin' Dimensional. The centres have been filled with Shimmery Crystal Effects.
The greeting from Varied Vases was stamped onto Whisper White using Pretty Peacock ink. My banner is a scrap of Soft Sea Foam which is rubbed with my bone folder to break the fibres on the cardstock and peeled the layers apart. I then rolled each end in opposite directions and stuck the greeting to it, raising it all with Stampin' Dimensionals. I felt it was all a little bit too neat and same-same,so I quickly added a Honey Bee stamped with Pretty Peacock and diecut with the Detailed Bees dies.
This angle may make the banner make more sense:

#CTC257 Kids & Babies
CASEing the Kids and Babies section pages 98-105 this week
For me, it was the picture on page 98, bottom left.
I've chosen a base card of Purple Posy, strips of cardstock (3/4" x 5 3/8"} of Perennial Essence DSP. I've added a Whisper White panel embossed with the Country Floral 3D EF. I chose to cut butterflies from a scrap of Seaside Spray from Butterfly Beauty Dies and used strips of Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere to the embossed panel. Next I've stamped the words from Floral Essence in Night of Navy onto Whisper White, fussy cut and adhered to each of the butterflies.
Might be the youngest of the house is having a birthday this week! Happy Birthday to her!!
Thanks for stopping by. Please hop on over and see what our lovely Shannon has for us this week:

#CTC235 - CASE the Card on Page 159
I can't wait to see how many varieties of this card we end up with. Remember you can case the layout, the theme, the colours - let your mind wander...
I pretty much stuck with the elements I saw - minus the metal element. I spun the card 180 degrees and used the new Pretty Peacock in-colour as my base card. I've teamed it up with a piece of DSP from Perennial Essence, although you probably can't see it has a tiny daisy among the water colour background and I've embossed it with the Subtles 3D folder. I chose to the same die to cut the little 'x's down the edge using Stitched Labels. I've stamped the stem from Daisy Lane in Granny Apple Green onto a Whisper White diecut from the Stitched Nested Labels. I've then stamped two Highland Heather small daisies from Daisy Lane and punched with the co-ordinating Medium Daisy Punch before adhering together. It has been added using a Stampin' Dimensional, as has the greeting from Butterfly Wishes, again stamped in Granny Apple Green, snipped and the edges inked as well.
I thought I'd finished off when I added the White Baker's Twine bow until I noticed a little blip in the cardstock. Rather than starting from scratch with time not on my side, I opted to attach another piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock which was run through the Subtles 3D folder, butted up to the DSP and wrapped to the back like a spine cover.
Thanks for stopping by. Please feel free to play along, and link your picture to our Facebook page with the link over on the right. Now please continue on the hop with the lovely Peta's cute creation:
