#CTC257 Kids & Babies

CASEing the Kids and Babies section pages 98-105 this week

Image may contain: text

For me, it was the picture on page 98, bottom left.

I've chosen a base card of Purple Posy, strips of cardstock (3/4" x 5 3/8"} of Perennial Essence DSP. I've added a Whisper White panel embossed with the Country Floral 3D EF. I chose to cut butterflies from a scrap of Seaside Spray from Butterfly Beauty Dies and used strips of Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere to the embossed panel. Next I've stamped the words from Floral Essence in Night of Navy onto Whisper White, fussy cut and adhered to each of the butterflies.

Might be the youngest of the house is having a birthday this week! Happy Birthday to her!!

#CTC238 CASE Garden Lane DSP

Yes, I've been a little absent of late, although not by choice - a fracture near my ankle curbed things a bit. However, albeit in hobble mode, I've got a little sanity restored from being able to craft again!  Join us as we case the Garden Lane DSP. If you need some inspiration - use the layouts on page 36-38 and 40-41.

The colours listed for this DSP are: Garden Green, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sea Foam and Whisper White.

I've chosen a base of thick Whisper White and a mat of Garden Green. Using Mint Macaroon ink to stamp the flower image from Floral Essence six times and then punched out using the Perennial Flower punch. Two punched shapes complete each flower. I've used the Leaf Punch with Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves, but for a little more texture I've split the cardstock leaf in half bur burnishing it a bit until it starts to part and then gently pulling away from each half so that the furry inside of the cardstock is showing.  My top layer is Soft Sea Foam and I've used the same colour ink with the Crackle Paint image for a subtle background. The greeting is from Butterfly Wishes and stamped in Mint Macaron. The leaves were adhered to the back of the flowers and then laid out to work the placement for the leaves from Floral Essence to be stamped in Mossy Meadow. Each group was mounted using Stampin' Dimensionals.

A bit of an angle to see the layering:

Thanks for stopping by. Please pop over and see what Monique has created for us and then play along. Make your card, take a photo and post to our page by next Sunday evening.

Kelly's Stamping Friends - Birthday Blog Hop

Back for another year of celebrating the birthday of my lovely Western Australia stamping friend - Kelly Kent and her Birthday Blog Hop!  Happy Birthday for tomorrow Kelly - hope you have a wonderful day x.

For my card I decided to break out some of my new catalogue goodies!

I've used the large flower from Floral Essence to stamp my own background, masking as required and using Flirty Flamingo ink. I've made a banner of Whisper White and cut the top edge with the Stitched Rectangles for my faux stitching. I've then added a greeting from Forever Lovely - a great flowing font, again in Memento Black to tie in with the critter and mat.

I'm really going to miss the cute puppies (Bella and Friends) and kittens (Pretty Kitty), so when I saw Over the Moon I knew it would have to fill the void! I've stamped Ms Cow in Black Memento ink, coloured with Stampin' Blends, then fussy cut her out. She has been popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals with added bling being a few metallic sequins and some Wink of Stella on the flower. (After referring to her, I am now wondering as it doesn't have an udder like one of the other images?? - oh well, never mind!)

Such fun images and greetings in this set.

I fell for this lovely sketched flower image when first introduced to it at Onstage with one of our make and takes. I chose to fussy cut mine and mat the DSP with Whisper, White, but this is roughly what we all went home with. There are four different flower images and the next one used here has three petals and a matching punch, so you punch two and layer them. Check out those fluffy little flower centres, and the coloured vellum. Hope you enjoy these little sneak peeks while you wait to get your hands on the new catalogue.
