CTC353 Sale-a-bration

CASEing the Sale-a-bration catalogue again this week:

I've chosen the card on the far right of Page 5:

I started with a base card of Granny Apple Green and cut the largest Stitched Rectangles Die out of the same colour. I trimmed a piece of In Good Taste DSP to the same width as the diecut shape.Using the Eden Dies I've diecut the border at each end and attached the DSP panel to the diecut rectangle.

Using another strip of In Good Taste DSP and Mossy Meadow ink, I've added the greeting from Friendly Hello which is one of the Sale-a-bration offers you can earn. To lengthen the rectangle to fit my card base better, I've chopped the panel in half and reattached it slightly apart to the greeting strip. To strenghten it, I've wrapped the DSP around the whole panel and then added this to the base card.

I've stamped the Daffodil Daydream image in Mossy Meadow ink onto Basic White card and coloured with Stampin' Blends. I've diecut this with the Daffodil Dies and wrapped Linen Thread around the stems and tied off with a bow. This was added to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Daffodils are such cheery flowers aren't they? This was my first time playing with this bundle but it won't be the last.

The crew would love to see you play along with us this week. Make your card and share to our Facebook page using the link over on the right. Be sure to post it before next Sunday evening.

Next on the hop is our friend Peta - and it looks like she may have been playing with the Stitched Rectangle dies as well. Wonder if Marvi is being a bit more co-operative this week?

#CTC276 CASEing the Animals from the Catalogue

How are you going the interpret the challenge this week? Lots of animals in the annual catalogue for you to CASE or put your own twist on. The crew would love to see you play along after you create your card, post it to our Facebook page using the link over on the right.

I've turned to page 41 and the Playful Pets suite for my inspiration:

The Playful Pets DSP and Pampered Pets stamp set has some very quirky little characters - each with relatable personality traits!

I've used a base of thick Whisper White. Onto that I've added a layer of Basic Black . A strip of Playful Pets DSP is adhered to the left hand side. The right hand side has a piece of cardstock, Basic Gray for the cat and Sahara Sand for the dog which was embossed with the Old World Paper embossing folder. The greeting is from Pampered Pets, stamped in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock and diecut with a Stitched Rectangles die.

The dog was stamped in Memento black ink onto Basic Gray cardstock and diecut using the Pets Dies. I've used the same dies to cut the paws out of the (retired) Hearts Doilies and added a scrap of Basic Black behind to make the paws pop. Shame the doilies retired as being in Real Red and Flirty Flamingo I'm sure they were meant to remain with this suite. The dog's collar has been coloured with my Chalk Marker and a tiny dot onto his eyes.

The cat was stamped in Memento black ink onto Sahara Sand and diecut with the Pets Dies.

Time for you to hop over and see the cute card our friend Peta has created with the same suite. I had a feeling she might be won over with the cats, but with two dogs and two cats, I have to remain with a boot in both do and cat camp - one of the few people who can't decide. Love them both (although they do have their moments)!!

#CTC275 CASEing the Sketch on Page 130

The Crew are CASEing the card on the right on page 130:

Here's the sketch to help you play along:

My go to thick Whisper White card base has a mat of Just Jade embossed with the Bricks & Mortar 3D Embossing folder. I've diecut with the Stitched Rectangles a piece of Flowers for All Seasons DSP which gave me a mat and a frame. After adhering the mat in place (realise it could have been a bit further up, but it's ok for a change), I've turned the frame around and popped some Foam Adhesive Strips on the back to give some dimension and it made the stripes just a little different.

I've used the Layering Circles Dies to cut a piece of Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper and a piece of Whisper White the same size, then adhered the gold to the white with a bit of multipurpose adhesive. I've popped this onto Stampin' Dimensionals avoiding the edge of the frame so it was the same height.

I've diecut a bird in Cinnamon Cider from the Birds & More dies, adding a scrap of Basic Black cardstock behind the bird to define the markings the die makes and glued it in place. The greeting is from a set in the Beginner Brochure called Four Season Floral. I've used Just Jade ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it down so it didn't cover up the gold foil.

To finish I've added a (retired) Baker's Twine bow and some of the little Flowers for Every Season Gems.

We'd love to see your version of the sketch. You have until next Sunday evening to make a card and add the picture to our Facebook page using the link over to the right.

Next up we have the lovely Judy May:

#CTC274 Casing Masculine cards of the Annual Catty

This week the crew are CASEing masculine cards from the annual catalogue.

I've settled for the card at the top of this picture on page 35:

I've used the In Good Taste DSP with the Stitched Triangles dies. You can see the original had stamps for the middle panel but as I didn't purchase the bundle I've used DSP instead and the die is a bit smaller than the stamp. I've adhered all my triangles onto a panel of Cinnamon Cider cardstock and then matted it with Misty Moonlight. I've attached the panel to a base card of Cinnamon Cider with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I've used Happiest of Birthdays for the greeting in Misty Moonlight on Whisper White cardstock and diecut using the Stitched Rectangles dies.

I've attached some Bumblebee In-colour ribbon to the reverse of the diecut greeting and adhered to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals as well.

I've opted for no extra bling to let the DSP be the star of the show.

Thanks for stopping by. We would love to see your take on the CASE this week, make your project and add it to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Let's find out what our WA friend Siobhan has created:
