#CTC355 CASE Sale-a-bration

Yes, we are back CASEing the Sale-a-bration catalogue this week:

I've turned to Page 10 and the picture top right.

Tuesday sees us celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary so I thought I'd use this challenge to make hubby a card - killing two birds with one stone, so to speak!!

I've used the same DSP as the CASE card - Simply Marbleous and the same colour of Basic Gray. I've used the Birds & More dies to cut my circle shape and behind it I've added a panel of Basic White which was embossed with the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder.

Again using Birds & More dies, I've cut two little birds in Silver Foil and then using scraps of Daffodil Delight and Real Red another two were cut. I've taken the little cut outs from the colour birds and added them to the silver birds then adhered them in place on the circle frame.

My greeting is from Pansy Patch heat embossed in Silver Embossing Powder onto a strip of Basic Black cardstock. Underneath a little red heart from the same set of dies out of Real Red cardstock.

I love the bold colours on one side of the Simply Marbleous while the other is quite the opposite, very soft so something to appeal to everyone.

Wonder which card you might like to CASE and whether you will change things out or keep it as it is. Remember you don't have to have new products to play along, we just love to see how your creativity puts a twist to the catalogue pictures. Use the link over on the right and add your picture to our Facebook page before next Sunday evening.

Next up we have Kathryn to share some of her fabulous scrapbooking pages from her recent 'big' birthday. Special memories Kathryn!

#CTC327 CASE the Holiday Section

Before I start - I have to credit the CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge on their Seventh Anniversary today!

What a great achievement and though I can't take credit for being with the crew that long, I enjoy taking part each week that I can, creating alongside a fantastic group of ladies.

This week #CTC327 has us CASE the Holiday Section - Pages 88-95

I've chosen the card in the middle of Page 95, but opted to switch it from a Christmas card to a Birthday card using some stamps and dies that haven't seen a lot of use lately,

I started by stamping a bird from Birds & Branches in Night of Navy ink onto Pool Party cardstock and die cutting it with the Birds & More Dies. I've also diecut a branch from Cinnamon Cider using the same dies. I've matted a panel of Basic White with Mango Melody cardstock and adhered my diecuts in place. The party hat is from Turtle Friends, stamped in Black Memento Ink and fussy cut then coloured with Stampin'  Blends (Mango Melody and Flirty Flamingo).

The greeting is also from Turtle Friends, stamped in Black Memento ink onto Mango Melody cardstock and fussy cut before adding it to the panel. I've finished with some of the pale green dots from Sequins for Everything and placed it on a base card of Soft Sea Foam with Stampin' Dimensionals.

A different angle to show the Dimensionals at work

We hope you can play along this week and add your photo to our Facebook page before next Sunday evening using the link over on the right.

Next up we have our friend Tina and her cute critter card:

#CTC283 CASE the Colours of Trimming the Tree DSP

We are CASEing the colours of Trimming the Tree DSP this week - Early Espresso, Misty Moonlight, Old Olive, Pool Party, Poppy Parade and Whisper White

I've used all the colours, but also CASEd the card on the top right of page 12:

I've used a base of thick Whisper White and added a mat of Poppy Parade. I've stamped the holly image from Gift Wrapped in Pool Party ink onto a top layer of Pool Party cardstock. I've trimmed Misty Moonlight cardstock into inch wide stripes and embossed them with the Old World Paper 3D Embossing folder and adhered them to the card. Next I've used Bird & More dies to cut some foliage from Old Olive and added it to the embossed panel.

I've Clear Embossed the bow image by stamping onto Versamark and then into Poppy Parade ink before stamping on Whisper White cardstock, covering the image with Clear Embossing powder and heat setting. I liked the effect so did the same with the greeting from the same set using the Versamark then Early Espresso and clear embossing. The bow has been punched out with the Gift Bow Builder punch and the greeting with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch before adding them both to the card. I've used the clear Flowers for All Seasons gems to finish but in a different way than the CASEd card.

This angle may show the detail better:

You have until next Sunday evening to make a card using any or all of the colours above then adding your photo to our Facebook page using the link over to the right. Meanwhile please carry on the hop to visit Rebecca and her lovely floral card:

#CTC275 CASEing the Sketch on Page 130

The Crew are CASEing the card on the right on page 130:

Here's the sketch to help you play along:

My go to thick Whisper White card base has a mat of Just Jade embossed with the Bricks & Mortar 3D Embossing folder. I've diecut with the Stitched Rectangles a piece of Flowers for All Seasons DSP which gave me a mat and a frame. After adhering the mat in place (realise it could have been a bit further up, but it's ok for a change), I've turned the frame around and popped some Foam Adhesive Strips on the back to give some dimension and it made the stripes just a little different.

I've used the Layering Circles Dies to cut a piece of Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper and a piece of Whisper White the same size, then adhered the gold to the white with a bit of multipurpose adhesive. I've popped this onto Stampin' Dimensionals avoiding the edge of the frame so it was the same height.

I've diecut a bird in Cinnamon Cider from the Birds & More dies, adding a scrap of Basic Black cardstock behind the bird to define the markings the die makes and glued it in place. The greeting is from a set in the Beginner Brochure called Four Season Floral. I've used Just Jade ink on Whisper White cardstock and cut it down so it didn't cover up the gold foil.

To finish I've added a (retired) Baker's Twine bow and some of the little Flowers for Every Season Gems.

We'd love to see your version of the sketch. You have until next Sunday evening to make a card and add the picture to our Facebook page using the link over to the right.

Next up we have the lovely Judy May:

#CTC271 CASE the New Catalogue Cover

Just one week of CASEing the new Catalogue Cover with the crew - hope you can play along, add your photo with the link over on the right. For Week 2 - we get to go inside the covers!!

Today I'm using the new bundle of Birds & Branches stamp set and Birds & More dies which you will find on page 120.

My inspiration has been the colour palette and I don't know if it has been written anywhere, but what I've guessed is: Balmy Blue, Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride, Bumblebee, Coastal Cabana and Rich Razzleberry.

I stamped onto Whisper White scraps of card; a bird and eggs in Balmy Blue, another bird in Coastal Cabana, flowers in Blushing Bride, onto Bumblee cardstock a nest in Rich Razzleberry and diecut all out along with a tree branch in Bermuda Bay.

The greeting is from the retiring Stitched All Round in Coastal Cabana ink.

I've simply adhered all my pieces with multi purpose adhesive and matted with Blushing Bride onto a base of thick Whisper White.

I love the idea of limiting yourself to a set colour palette of ink and cardstock and seeing what comes out of it!

Next up on the hop is Monique who has been playing with some new In-colours:
