#CTC293 CASE a Card from Pg 36 of the Mini Catalogue

CASE a card from Page 36 of the Mini Catalogue:

I've chosen the card in the middle of the picture. Onto a base of Blackberry Bliss cardstock, I've added a full size front using a Gold and White piece of Ornate Garden Specialty DSP.

Next I've swiped the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing folder with a Blackberry Bliss ink pad on the flat side. I've cut a banner from the same Blackberry Bliss cardstock with the help of the Banner Triple Punch and run it through the embossing machine. I found it gave good depth and really made the little flowers pop.

I've used a greeting from Happiest of Birthdays stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink onto Whisper White cardstock. I happened to still have some (retired) Gold Metallic Thread which I've looped around a few times and added to the back of the greeting before adhering in place.

The Daisy Lane stamps haven't seen action for a while and I used it to make my main feature, with 3 large daisies and 3 medium daisies inked with Blackberry Bliss onto Whisper White cardstock and punched with the matching Daisy and Medium Daisy punches. I've stuck all the layers together and popped it into place using Stampin' Dimensionals.

A dreary Canterbury day doesn't make it easy to make the gold shine, but let's try this:

I've even given this one a little bit of inside love:

It's fun to see the same cards with so many twists. Please continue on the hop to visit Lauren and her cute butterflies:

#CTC289 CASE a Halloween Project

CASE a Halloween Project:

I've used the tag on the far right page 65 of the Aug-Dec Mini Catalogue:

I've used a base of Gray Granite cardstock and my tag is cut from Peony Garden DSP. I've cut 3/4" strips of Petal Pink cardstock and used the Banner Triple punch to cut the end, then used that as a pattern to chop the other end, then I've embossed them all with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and adhered them haphazardly onto the tag.

The greeting is from Zany Zebras in Gray Granite ink onto the same colour cardstock. I've used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch to cut it, then repeated with a mat of Whisper White and another of Gray Granite. My bow is the lovely Petal Pink Organdy Striped ribbon popped on with a Glue Dot. I've finished with butterflies in Gray Granite cardstock using the Butterfly Beauty Dies - much prettier than bats!

Next on the hop we have Monique and she has a super project to share:

#CTC202 - Favourite Holiday Tags

So many choices this week as we CASE our favourite holiday tag.

With all that choice, I've ended up on the back cover and the tag on the top right:

I've shifted it up a notch to a Christmas card, using a base of thick Whisper White. I've die cut some Pretty Pine thinlits pine tree leaves in Old Olive as my feature.  The tag part is my top layer of whisper white, and the background I've opted for is stamped with the doily from the hostess set "Very Vintage".  Each time it has been stamped off once, to lighten the image  I've used Gold Glimmer paper for my banner instead of the red above, snipped with the Banner Triple punch at each end. I've then staggered the pine die cuts in a kind of wreath pattern and added a pine cone die cut in Soft Suede.  I've then added the greeting (from "Making Christmas Bright") which was stamped in Old Olive, and the word 'Bright' has been gold heat embossed. It was cut using a circle shape from Stitched Shapes Framelits. I've then added another two pine cone diecuts and finished off with Metallic Pearls

Thanks for stopping by. It would be great if you were to play along, create your CASE of your favourite holiday tag, and add it to our Facebook page using the link on the right.  Time to pop over and see Rebecca's creation, which was one of the tags I was considering, but love what she's done with it...
