#CTC201 - Holiday Catalogue Cover

This week the crew are CASEing the front and back of the holiday catalogue:

I've gone for the star of the show, and switched out the gift box below for a card:

I've gone back to a CASE of the layout. I've used a thick Whisper White card base, with the luscious Frosted Floral Specialty DSP as the my front layer. Such gorgeous colours, and Blackberry Bliss strips of cardstock are my 'ribbon'. A punched circle of Blackberry Bliss over the strips, with a whisper white die cut Flourish Thinlit. A diecut frame from Petals & more Thinlits in Whisper White for the greeting, which comes from Hand Delivered and stamped in Mint Macaron. Thanks for stopping by...

Please play along, make a card, and then use the link over on the right to add to our Facebook page. Meantime, let's see the great creation Liz has to show us this week:

CASEing the Catty - #CTC170 Tutti Frutti

This week we are headed to pages 28-35 of the Occasions catalogue.

I've chosen page 32 and the card on the lower left.

The base is thick Whisper White and a little larger than the original with a finished size of 5 1/2" square.  Mats of Basic Black, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White. The DSP is from the Tutti Frutti DSP stack.  In lieu of metallic thread I opted for foliage from Petals & More Thinlits using Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, I also cut the flowers using the same dies and cardstock. Usually I push out all the little bits, but have seen a lot have been leaving them lately and I like the effect it creates. The bottletops and hearts are Silver Foil cut with the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits Dies. I punched circles from scraps of Color Theory DSP and Whisper White, then used the Bubble Over stamp set with Lemon Lime Twist for the words and they were also punched using 3/4" circle punch. The budgies are from Bird Banter and were fussy cut after being coloured with Stampin' markers. The greeting from the same set has been die cut with the Petals & More thinlits, and because it is a longer frame, I simply lined it up again closer to the words and popped it back through the Big Shot to cut just the one end. I have a 1" circle of Lemon Lime twist behind the greeting in place of the trim.

This card was created with my Mother-in-law in mind - apart from the fact it was her birthday, she had recently acquired a new budgie. His name is Rico, and he is lovely vibrant colours of green and yellow.

And a zoom in for you:

CASEing the Catty - #CTC167 Sale-a-bration

Here we are again returning to the Sale-a-bration catalogues for inspiration. Welcome if you have just arrived from visiting the lovely Angela. Hope you are feeling the need to join us with your creation this week - follow the link up on the right.

I've chosen the image on the bottom right of page 16 of the initial catalogue.

As you can see, I've changed a few things and adapted another couple. I've kept the idea of Gold embossing on Crumb Cake and switched it to a card using the Hedgehugs set. The base card is Calypso Coral to match the die cut 'Celebrate' (Celebrate You Thinlits) and the Ombre ribbon. The scallop circle element on my card is diecut from Layering Circles Framelits and Whisper White card. The banner is vellum, banner punched at each end. I like that it shows off the ribbon in a subtle way. The foliage is from Petals & More Thinlits.

Thanks for stopping by, and now time to go check what Monique has to show you:
