#CTC392 CASE Annual Catalogue Sketch

CASE the Sketch from Page 58 of the Annual Catalogue:

I've once again stuck very closely to this layout which I also used for #CTC378.

I've attached a panel of Design a Daydream DSP to a base of Thick Whisper White. I used the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a panel of Soft Sea Foam cardstock which I then cut a slice off and attached both to the DSP background.

The hydrangea was diecut with the Hydrangea Dies in Gorgeous Grape cardstock for the flower and Garden Green for the leaves. The greeting is from Potted Geraniums using Gorgeous Grape ink onto Soft Sea Foam cardstock and diecut with the Geraniums Dies before beting attached using Stamin' Dimensionals. with a loose hydrangea flower attached to finish.

I really like the way the little petals can all be poked a bit to give movement to the card.

The crew look forward to seeing your creation being posted to our Facebook page before next Sunday evening using the link over on the right if you need. Be inspired by the crew by clicking through the hop, such a variety of inspiration to be seen.

Next on the hop we have our lovely friend Judy:

#CTC389 CASE Annual Catalogue Bundle

CASE a bundle from the Annual Catalogue:

I've chosen a card from the bundle on the top left of Page 162, although used the bundle below it to create my card.

In lieu of the stamped images, I've adhered a torn off strip of Tea Boutique DSP to a panel of Basic White cardstock and trimmed it into three panels. I've then distressed all the edges and added them to a panel of Basic White which had been embossed using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I have wrapped Baker's Twine around and held it at the back with tape. This panel was adhered to a base of Thick Basic White cardstock.

My cup was cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock using the Teacup Dies and the top layer from Basic White using the same dies. I've stamped the leaves in Mossy Meadow onto Basic White and diecut them out again using the Teacup Dies. This has been added to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. I've added a Baker's Twine bow beside it.

The greeting is from Go To Greetings, stamped in Mossy Meadow ink onto Basic White cardstock. After trimming, I've dropped each edge gently onto the Mossy Meadow ink pad to help frame it against the white background.

I'm really pleased I bought this set, as it's had a lot more use than many of my other bundles.

What bundle will you CASE? We would love to see you join the group and add your project to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Next up we have our lovely friend Julia and her stunning card using one of my favourite  current DSP's:

#CTC377 Sale-a-bration

CASEing the July/August Sale-a-bration brochure:

Page 12 and the card on the left:

I love being able to utilise scraps to make cards and this certainly happened with this card. I store my scraps in concertina file folders by colour family. Basic Black is stored with my Neutrals still so I grabbed a little piece of that along with the Brights folder.

Using the Spruced Up Outlines Dies, I've cut trees from Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo. These were run through the Cut & Emboss machine inside the Painted Texture 3D Embossing folder to add a bit of texture.

I've embossed a piece of Basic White cardstock with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing folder and attached it to the base of Night of Navy cardstock. I've switched the orientation to landscape over the portrait case card. I've glued the trees down in much the same colour order as the original. The greeting from Christmas Scottie was inked in Night of Navy ink onto a scrap of Basic White and popped in place. In lieu of a caravan I've punched the Basic Black card with the Scottie Dog Punch and added that to the edge of the greeting.

That little dog is just so darn cute!

Wonder what you might be inspired to CASE from the Sale-a-bration catalogue? We hope to see your creation added to our Facebook page (use the link over on the right if you need to) before next Sunday evening.

Next we are off to Julia and her super cute foliage card:

#CTC373 CASE an Embossing Project

CASE an Embossing Project from either the new Annual Catalogue or the soon to retire January-June Mini Catalogue:

I've chosen the square card on Page 47 which has been CASEd by some of the crew in previous challenges:

I've used Petal Pink card for all my layers including the base. The first layer was embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. The circles were cut using the Beautiful Shapes Dies and sponged around the edges with Petal Pink ink.

The greeting stamped in the same colour ink is from the new Hostess set, Sit Stay Relax. After stamping the greeting I've added the circles to the top layer using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I've stamped the smallest pet image using Gray Granite ink onto Basic White cardstock and fussy cut then added it to the card choosing to omit the ribbon this time. .

It's not a big card, being 4 1/8" square but just a little different from my usual designs.

We hope you can find an Embossing Project to inspire you to join us with a challenge project this week. Post your card photo to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Next up we have a little bit of monkey business from Michelle:

#CTC334 CASE the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite

CASE the Gingerbread and Peppermint Suite:

I've used the image top left of the photo above.

I chose one of the Black and White sheets of Pattern Party DSP for my background but to bring in a bit more colour, I've used a Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Marker and a ruler, and placed the ruler on each black line and drew a coloured line next to it, horizontally and vertically..

I added the DSP to the Basic White cardbase. Instead of the foil panel in the CASEd card, I've used a piece of Basic White and embossed it with the Painted Texture 3D folder which I mounted crooked on a same size piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock. I've punched out six Basic White blanks using the Medium Daisy Punch. and set up my Stamparatus with a scrap piece of card having a shape cut out to become my template. I've added each white daisy into the negative space and stamped it with the medium daisy from Daisy Lane in Flirty Flamingo ink. These were adhered in pairs and attached using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The ribbon is White Crinkle Seam Binding which I've held against the Flirty Flamingo ink pad with a tissue and pulled the ribbon across the ink, then left it to dry. The greeting is from Quiet Meadow in Black Memento ink of Basic White card. I've used the Tasteful Labels dies to cut the shape out and then I've done the same with a scrap of Flirty Flamingo and trimmed around the stitched outer edge to create a frame for the greeting. The ribbon was attached behind the greeting and this was also added to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

This is such a versatile layout and would lend itself to many different themes.

What catches your eye in the Gingerbread and Peppermint Suite? We would love to see your CASEd project added to our Facebook page before next Sunday evening using the link over on the right.

Next on the hop we have Rebecca!

#CTC328 CASE Sketch on Page 33

CASE the Sketch on Page 33 by using this photo

Or use the sketch version:
I've looked at the photo and saw three objects on an embossed panel with a layered greeting and twine on top of a full front of DSP - which is what I've recreated.

I've chosen Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP for my full front panel (FYI, I couldn't help sneaking a Stitched Rectangle diecut for a future project behind the panel where it will never be missed!). My front panel is Basic White embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing folder. From Fresh Freesia cardstock I've diecut three butterflies with the Brilliant Wings Dies and attached the abdomen only so the wings could be lifted.

My greeting is from Blossoms in Bloom, inked with Gorgeous Grape and stamped onto Pale Papaya cardstock, with Fresh Freesia cardstock as my faux ribbon. A piece of Baker's twine has been added to the back of the greeting and adhered to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. This was all added a a Basic White card base.

The Specialty DSP is the hero of the card!

We can't wait to see your take of the sketch challenge this week. Add your project to our Facebook page using the link over to the right before next Sunday evening.

Tme to hop on to see what the rest of the crew have created! Next stop is Rebecca:

#CTC326 CASE a Layout and Step It Up

This week we are CASEing a Layout and Stepping It Up:

The card on the left of Page 56 was my choice:

The basic card is a base of Granny Apple Green cardstock. I've added a Basic White shape using the Tasteful Labels Dies. Attached to this was a piece of Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP.

A turtle shape was stamped in Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock and a shell of Granny Apple Green was added. This was punched out with the Turtle Punch. I inked the bird in Pale Papaya and placed the turtle where I wanted it to end then removed it to stamp the bird in place before adhering the turle. The greeting from Turtle Friends was stamped in Granny Apple Green onto Pale Papaya cardstock and attached to the card with a Baker's Twine bow to finish.

To step it up, I've added another layer of Granny Apple Green cardstock to the base after embossing it with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. I've also embossed the Tasted Labels diecut after it has been stamped with the bird using Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder, matted the greeting with Whisper White, switched out the Baker's Twine bow for a White Crinkled Seam Binding double bow and added some Sequins for Everything

Subtle differences creating texture:

And the two cards side by side:

We look forward to seeing what you choose to Step It Up. Add your project to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Can't wait to see what Monique has for us Next:

#CTC305 CASE Sale-a-bration Donkey Sketch

CASE the Donkey card on page 5 of the Sale-a-bration

Use this sketch to help you

My base is Night of Navy. The mat of Sahara Sand has been embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing folder. Onto that I've added three envelopes diecut using the Snails Dies in Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo.

I've stamped a snail image from Snailed It in Black Memento ink onto Whisper White and coloured with Stampin' Blends, then diecut with the Snails Dies and added Stampin' Dimensionals to the bottom half and Multipurpose adhesive to the top half so the snail ended up being even on the card. The greeting is also from Snailed It and trimmed to add a word to each envelope. The mushrooms were added in lieu of bling.

Just don't ask where my inspiration came from as it is obviously a very random take, but the three colours of my envelopes are close to the stripes. There is a focal critter, and the rose is now a mushroom. That's what I love about the CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenges - rules are very loose!!

We'd love to see your take on the Challenge this week. Please add your card to our Facebook page using the link over on the right.

Next up let's visit our friend Tina:
