#CTC392 CASE Annual Catalogue Sketch

CASE the Sketch from Page 58 of the Annual Catalogue:

I've once again stuck very closely to this layout which I also used for #CTC378.

I've attached a panel of Design a Daydream DSP to a base of Thick Whisper White. I used the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a panel of Soft Sea Foam cardstock which I then cut a slice off and attached both to the DSP background.

The hydrangea was diecut with the Hydrangea Dies in Gorgeous Grape cardstock for the flower and Garden Green for the leaves. The greeting is from Potted Geraniums using Gorgeous Grape ink onto Soft Sea Foam cardstock and diecut with the Geraniums Dies before beting attached using Stamin' Dimensionals. with a loose hydrangea flower attached to finish.

I really like the way the little petals can all be poked a bit to give movement to the card.

The crew look forward to seeing your creation being posted to our Facebook page before next Sunday evening using the link over on the right if you need. Be inspired by the crew by clicking through the hop, such a variety of inspiration to be seen.

Next on the hop we have our lovely friend Judy:

#CTC390 CASE the Colours of Santa Express DSP

CASE the Colours of Santa Express DSP: Poppy Parade, Petal Pink, Granny Apple Green, Evening Evergreen, Shaded Spruce, Mint Macaron

After choosing a base card of Thick Basic White, I've taken my Geraniums Dies and cut the leaves from Granny Apple Green and Shaded Spruce, and the flowers from Poppy Parade and Petal Pink.

I swiped my Hive 3D Embossing Folder with Mint Macaron ink and popped a piece of Basic white cardstock inside then ran it through my Cut & Emboss machine. After it dried I trimmed it to fit and matted with Evening Evergreen cardstock.

Next I've heat embossed the greeting from Potted Greraniums onto Evening Evergreen cardstock with White Embossing Powder and diecut with another of the Geraniums Dies. All the pieces were then adhered to the base card.

I actually had the flower colours reversed for my completed card and switched them out after completion. Was a bit too soft on top, and the base of Poppy Parade gave a bit more strength and balance to the bold greens.

I love the variety we see when we have a colour challenge. That means I really want to see your card included in the challenge. Join the group, create your card and post it to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

#CTC382 CASE Sketch Pg 10 SAB

CASE the card on Page 10 of the Sale-a-bration catalogue using the sketch below to help you:

To start I've reached for the Eden Dies and diecut a small frame from Evening Evergreen. I then stamped the greeting from Potted Geraniums in Evening Evergreen onto Basic White cardstock and diecut that with the same frame die. I wanted the piece you normally discard and I inserted that into the precut frame. I carefully turned it over and used double sided tape to hold the two together. The greeting I chose dictated the orientation of my card to be landscape rather than portrait like the original.

Onto a base of Highland Heather, I attached a panel of Evening Evergreen cardstock then a layer of Tea Boutique DSP. The greeting has had Stampin' Dimensionals attached over the double sided tape before adding it in place on the DSP. I've tucked in a baker's twine bow and added a few (retired) Flowers For All Seasons Gems.

I chose a darker green than the one featured in the DSP as I wanted to make the greeting stand out a little more; Loving the font and words in this set.

The crew have come up with a great variety this week. Be sure you hop around them all to see what I mean. We trust you will then feel inspired to join us and post your take of the sketch above to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Following me on the crew hop this week is Michelle with her cute Christmas card:

#CTC378 CASE Love Thanks Support Section

CASE the Love, Thanks and Support section of the Annual Catalogue - pages 56-77

I've been keen to play with the Potted Geraniums Bundle for a while so for me the card on the left of Page 58 was the perfect opportunity:

Using a sheet of Design a Daydream (Host reward) Designer Series Paper, I've cut a panel and then sliced 3/4 of an inch of one end. This was adhered to a base of Read Red cardstock.

Using the Geraniums Dies, I've cut base leaves from Pear Pizzazz, detail leaves from Garden Green, base flowers of Poppy Parade and details flowers of Real Red then attached them together and adhered them to the DSP panel.

The greeting from Potted Geraniums was stamped in Garden Green onto Basic White cardstock and diecut with the matching frame from the Geraniums Dies set. I've added it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Rest assured, I was very happy with how these came together so quickly (especially given I didn't realise how much time it would take to be a volleyball spectator this weekend). I will definitely utilise this bundle now that it has finally been opened and love the font used in the greetings.

We hope you can play along with the challenge this week. Make your card, post it to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Next up we have Rebecca and her gorgeous take on the CASE this week:
