Plenty of choice this week as the crew go to their Favourite Retiring Big Shot Project
I've given some love to my Swirly Snowflakes thinlits as they haven't been used in a while, choosing the card in the picture on page 100 - top left
I've used the swirly flourish die from this set and randomly die cut a card from Delightfully Detailed Memories & More Card pack. What I forgot about when I chose this die was that the whole middle piece drops out, but thankfully the Press and Seal came to the rescue and made it easy to line everything up. I've popped the card and all the loose pieces onto Stampin' Dimensionals and placed on a thick Whisper White card.
The greeting is from Perennial Birthday, stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and cut out with the Rectangle Stitched framelits. I've adhered some Silver Mini Sequin Trim and a couple of Silver Foil swirls behind the greeting and also popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Using the Memories and More card made the top layer just a bit sturdier
Time now to head over to our lovely Kelly's page and see what she's been up to:
Great effect with the background you created!
ReplyDeleteGreat tip to use the M&M card for it's sturdiness. You've done well to pop all those middles back into place, it looks perfect. There's so many great sets I'll miss too.
ReplyDeleteI know Liz, it was a hard choice this week... sigh
DeleteSo clever! I love that you've used an M&M card for this, it's a great reminder of how versatile they can be.
ReplyDeleteTks Siobhan, an accidental discovery!
DeleteWhat a great idea - fabulous card Sandra! Kelly x
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly x
DeleteStepping up the memories and more cards is a fabulous idea. And there's so much work with all the die cutting on your card. Totally amazing! And gorgeous
ReplyDeleteCheers Julia, appreciate your lovely comment :)
DeleteSandra, this is such a clever idea and so much work. Thank goodness for Press N Seal
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't as bad as some I've done Peta! Yes, great to rethink P&S uses lol :)
DeleteWhat a great background! I bet it's very shiny in real life.
ReplyDeleteNot too shiny Bec - it white not silver on the BlackBerry card
