CTC338 - CASE Sketch on Pg 34 of Mini

This sketch on Page 34 of the August - December Mini Catalogue:

In a simple format:
I've used a base of Thick Basic White cut lengthwise and folded in half for my base.

Next I've worked out my top layer also in Basic White. I've diecut a panel of little flowers using the Hydrangea Dies. I've heat embossed a hydrangea flower from Hydrangea Haven and a greeting from Peaceful Moments with gold embossing powder onto Basic White cardstock. The flower was diecut with the Hydrangea Dies and the greeting was trimmed to be a strip to fit.

My mat is Evening Evergreen and I've snuck a diecut from the Layering Circles to mat my feature diecut onto. I've cut Gold strips from the Gold & Rose Metallic Specialty Paper to add accent from my perception of the CASE card.

I've added a few of the diecut tiny white flowers and popped a Gold Metallic Pearl in the centre. I've added a piece of Baker's Twine tied in a bow around the centre of the card, focusing the bow to the front. Happily sending this off to my Aunty and Uncle to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Can't wait to see your take of the sketch. Pop your photo up on our Facebook page using the link over on the right.

Next on the hop we have Monique!

#CTC336 Sale-a-bration

Back CASEing the Sale-a-bration catalogue:

The card at the bottom of Page 12 won this time around for me:

I started by setting up my Stamparatus with the splotch stamp from Hydrangea Haven and a piece of Basic White cardstock. I've inked, cleaned, hinge stamped and repeated with each colour I used - starting at the top, Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Daffodil Delight, Shaded Spruce and Balmy Blue. Next I've used a Soft Suede Stampin' Marker and flicked the tip against the lid to create some speckles all over.

I've gold heat embossed the flower from Quiet Meadow onto Vellum and fussy cut each one, then attached it to the coloured layer with glue dots. I've trimmed a piece of Basic Black cardstock and added the diecut greeting in Basic White from Birthday Chick. I popped Stampin' Dimensionals on the back and attached to a base of Thick Basic White cardstock.

Maybe this angle will show the speckles and embossing better:

Surprise, surprise I even managed to get this card in the post this week - unlike the many cards still waiting in my stash!

We would love to see what you create using the Sale-a-bration catalogue as your inspiration. If you play along you can use the link over on the right to post your photo to our Facebook page - please do so before next Sunday evening. Less than a fortnight left to earn your Sale-a-bration freebies!

Next up we have our friend Rachel and I can't wait to see her creation!

#CTC307 CASE the Sale-a-bration Catalogue

Last chance to CASE the Sale-a-bration Catalogue until the new one comes out later in the year.

I've chosen the image in this picture on the left hand side Pg 6, changing it from a box into a standard card.

I've trimmed a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the fill of the hydrangea from Hydrangea Haven randomly in Highland Heather. I then used the smaller petal image so that I didn't have to worry about masking off the leaves and using Gorgeous Grape ink stamped over the top of the Highland Heather. I really like the randomness of the effect of the background with the shading already done for you with the way the stamp is cut. This has been placed onto a base card of Pretty Peacock.

Leaves have been diecut from Pretty Peacock cardstock with the Hydrangea Dies and trimmed off the branch to pop in place.

The greeting from Happy Thoughts has been stamped in Gorgeous Grape onto Whisper White and diecut with a Tasteful Labels die and adhered to Hydrangea Hill DSP.  I've attached this on an angle using Stampin' Dimensionals and added a box of Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.

To finish I've added some of the clear Flowers for Every Season Gems.

Pretty Peacock is another colour I've been quite fond of, don't forget it retires this year - in fact soon!

The crew would like to see you play along. Make your project and post to our Facebook page using the link over on the right.

Next up is our lovely friend, Tina:

#CTC302 CASE a Floral Project

CASE a Floral Project from either the Mini catalogue or Sale-a-bration catalogue:

Funny enough, I've gone back to the same page as I used last week - pg 11 of the Sale-a-bration catalogue and the card on the bottom right::

I've used a base of thick Whisper White and added a panel of Hydrangea Hill DSP - the colours in this are just lovely. I've cut a one inch strip from the same DSP in a different pattern and punched the ends with Lovely Labels Pick a Punch before adhering it to the panel. Next I've stamped the greeting from Happy Thoughts using Mossy Meadow ink onto Whisper White cardstock, trimmed it and added it to the banner.

The flower images are from Hydrangea Haven and were stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink onto Purple Posy cardstock and coloured in with Highland Heather Stampin' Blends. The leaves were Mossy Meadow ink onto Pear Pizzazz cardstock and coloured with Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. These were cut using the Hydrangea Dies along with some of the petals from Purple Posy cardstock. I popped a bit of colour in the centre of the petals using the Highland Heather Dark Stampin' Blend.

To finish I've added a tiny double bow from Old Olive Linen Thread. To make it this small I used a fork and was happy with it not being too overpowering against the lovely font in the greeting.

The crew would love to see your CASE of a Floral Project, please add it to our Facebook page using the link over on the right and #CTC302 before next Sunday evening.

Next up please hop over and see what Monique has for us this week:
