#CTC285 CASE the Layout on Page 29 Mini

The crew are CASEing the layout on page 29 of the August-December Catalogue:

This is the sketch if you can't cope with a photo:

I looked at the picture and saw black and white as the central image, with strips of cardstock (or similar) behind. I also rotated the image to fit the picture that jumped to mind.

I've started with a base card of Petal Pink cardstock and used 3/4" strips of Soft Sea Foam, Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP, Whisper White and Mossy Meadow. The Feels Like Frost has a piece using both sides for variety. As you know I've enjoyed using my new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch and have taken advantage of that shape for each end of all of my strips. The Whisper White was stamped with a Lovely You greeting in Memento black before being popped into place.

My main image is the Good Morning Magnolia flower coloured very lightly with Stampin' Blends so as not to detract from the Black and White image that I was drawn to. After colouring it was added using Stampin' Dimensionals.

The crew would love to see you play along using the link over on the right. Next up we have Lauren:

#CTC267 Ornate Garden Week 1

This fortnight we are CASEing the Ornate Garden suite for #CTC267 and have been instructed to use the flowers as inspiration:

I really liked the card on the bottom left above and went with pretty much the exact layout, switching out the ingredients - the open image of the flowers being my inspiration..

I've used Highland Heather for my base card and mat which was embossed with the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder. I've stamped the Good Morning Magnolia image in Soft Suede onto Whisper White and cut the panel into 3 then adhered it to the top mat.  I've stamped the greeting from Varied Vases in Highland Heather onto Whisper White. Next I adhered some retired Daffodil Delight double stitched ribbon and Daffodil Delight diecut shapes using the Lovely Flowers dies behind the greeting, popping the whole group up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Once I finally decided what I was doing, this card came together very quickly. A great way to use up some of the 'little leftovers' we pop aside so I think I'll be using this idea again.

Our next crew member has chosen the same card to CASE, so please pop over and check out Monique's gorgeous creation:

#CTC239 A Layout from pg 103 & Change the Theme

A few choices on page 103 for your layout, once you decide you just switch the theme.

Image may contain: text

I've gone with the card on the bottom right:

No photo description available.

I've made a bolder colour choice than the greys in the photo. Onto a base card of Crushed Curry is a full size panel of Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP. On a separate piece of Crushed Curry I've inked the Butterfly Wishes image that matches the Butterfly Duet punch with Mango Melody.and stamped all over. To dull down the impact a little, I've added a mat of Crumb Cake. I liked the position of the layer onto the background so have replicated that as well. Next is a 2 1/2" circle of Pressed Petals DSP. The butterfly is in the same Mango Melody ink but onto whisper white card, punched out then added using a Stampin' Dimensional. The words are from Good Morning Magnolia and cut apart to get the message I wanted. Finished off with rhinestones.

Please continue on the hop and visit the lovely Judy May. After that make a card, take a photo and paste to our Facebook page using the link over on the right - you have until next Sunday evening, don't forget to add #CTC239
