#CTC264 CASE a Card from the Mini with a Masculine Twist Wk 2

CASE a card from the Mini with a Masculine Twist. Hopefully the crew have provided plenty of ideas for the masculine cards which people often seem to struggle with. The stamp set and dies I've chosen have been a popular choice this fortnight.

For me it was the card at the centre bottom of pg 54.

I've made my card to resemble a bloke's garage shelf. Not designed to be too tidy - right?  Using Geared Up Garage stamps and Black Memento Ink onto Real Red, Crushed Curry and Blueberry Bliss for my oil containers; Smokey Slate for my tool boxes and Mint Macaron for my greeting - masking off the word 'all'. The background DSP is Garden Lane and mounted onto a Mint Macaron base. The shelving is Basic Gray cardstock diecut with the same set as the CASEd picture - All Dressed Up dies, with the greeting using the same die set.

The cogs are Basic Black or Silver Foil and along with most of the stamped images were die cut with the Garage Gears dies, some of the larger ones have been cut down to fit the shelf. I've fussy cut the little nuts and added them to one of the tool boxes - because just like us crafters - guys need more than one tool holder - LOL!!

The fur babies were a bit cross because we went to an all day concert yesterday and their evening meal was delayed. Think this one was about to leave home as we returned, so he parked in the middle of the road until we physically picked him up and got back in the car to drive the next 20 metres - cats eh? (By the way, the concert was fabulous - Jed Parsons, Acoustic 80s, Midge Ure the voice of Ultravox, The Mockers, Zed, 10cc and Icehouse - outdoor venue - Selwyn Sounds, Lincoln, Canterbury).

Enough about my life - time to pop over and check out what Judy has in store for us this week. When you've finished hopping - the crew would love to see you add your creation to our Facebook page using the link over on the right (you need to request to join the group and be sure to answer a couple of simple questions to make your approval simple). You still have until next Sunday evening to add your card.

  3. Oh I love this! Such a great take on the original card. You’ve definitely taken a feminine card and given it much more than a masculine twist. You’ve created the perfect card for a male.

  5. This is brilliant, Sandra! Total transformation of the original card. I love the stitching detail on the shelves, makes it look like rivets in steel. And I have to confess I'm not at all a fan of the Garden Lane DSP but here it looks like camo in the background and is sooooo cool!! Amazing!
