We're off to the 2019 Occasions Catalogue, pages 24 - 33
This week I've taken my inspiration from the colours in the project on the bottom right - Night of Navy, Call Me Clover, Calypso Coral and Whisper White.
I have made patchwork cards before, sometimes utilising strips of scraps I have on hand, but often cutting strips to suit the project I'm making. This time I've mainly used the cardstock colours mentioned above, but also added some strips from the Calypso Coral sheet in the Tea Room Specialty DSP. I cut a scrap piece of card and adhere Adhesive sheet to this, then place a long strip along the diagonal, and go from there. I like a variety of sizes, but there are no rules when using your scraps. Obviously the thicker you cut the quicker it will come together.
To this I've added elements using the Floral Frames stamp set and matching dies. I fussy cut the greeting shape and added it to a Night of Navy blank so it had more of a contrast edging. Glued flowers and leaves in place and raised them all using Stampin' Dimensionals with a few Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots to finish.
