#CTC316 Goodbye Favourite Retiring Project

Say Goodbye to your Favourite Retiring Project!

Page 177 was my inspiration:

Onto a base of Mango Melody cardstock, I've adhered a panel of True Love DSP diecut with the more intricate of the Best Plaid Builder dies. I've added the Mossy Meadow lines diecut from the same Best Plaid Builder dies.

I fussy cut some of the flowers from a sheet of True Love DSP (sssh, they're actually the broken images from the edge of the page, but because of the greeting I can get away with using them on this card). I've coloured them with the retiring Mango Melody Stampin' Blends and adhered them behind a Rectangle Stitched Diecut which had been stamped with Memento Black ink using a greeting from Happiest of Birthdays.

I've also added some Bumblebee In-Color Ribbon behind the greeting and popped Stampin' Dimensionals to the greeting and flowers to adhere them to the card.

Who said Best Plaid Builder dies were only for masculine cards?

And with that we bid farewell to the 2020-21 Annual catalogue. Why don't you CASE your favourite retiring project and add it to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Next up we have Julia and her pretty floral card, ooh is that new product I spy?

#CTC310 CASE the Three Tie Layout on Pg 66

CASE the Three Bowtie Layout on page 66 of the January-June Mini Catalogue:

And the sketch to go with it:
I've broken out my new Brilliant Wings Dies (that compliment the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set) and I think you may find they feature more than once on the hop! I diecut three of the same shame butterfly that I felt best fit my rectangle, one in Melon Mambo, one in Calypso Coral and one in Poppy Parade. I then cut three of the background from the large die that cuts 6 butterflies at once. As you can see, I couldn't decide whether to back them with Basic Black or Blushing Bride, and in the end I made one card of each.

The base card is Thick Basic White and the full front to replicate the diagonals in the original CASE card is from True Love Designer Series Paper. The DSP behind the butterflies is Butterfly Bijou (available for a limited time) and I used the  Rectangle Stitched Dies to cut the shape out. I matted each card with the same colour of the backing of the butterflies. and then adhered that panel to the base card using Stampin' Dimensionals.

I've stamped a greeting from Timeless Tulips in black Memento ink onto Calypso Coral and Blushing Bride then trimmed and stuck it onto the True Love diagonal background.

I think I have chosen this as my favourite:

But this isn't a bad second choice:

TBH, I really didn't think I needed any more butterflies in my life, but this bundle is sure to be a hit!

We'd love to see you play along, post your project to our Facebook page using the link over to the right before next Sunday evening.

Next up we have Tina and her gorgeous floral twist on the CASE:

#CTC309 CASE a Bundle from Pg 75-82

You'll find a huge range of bundles and examples to be made with them on Pages 75-82 of the January-June Mini Catalogue.

I've chosen the card on the far left of Page 79:

On a base of Basic Black cardstock, I've added a full height panel of True Love Designer Series Paper. I've cut a 4 1/8" square of Basic Black cardstock diagonally in half and trimmed 1/4" off the right hand edge. I've added a small trim of Whisper White cardstock to frame the panel. Yes, I've cheated a little as the original card had a stamped panel, but this way works too. These panels were attached using my multipurpose glue to each edge.

I've cut some flower pieces using the Pieced Blooms Dies out of Poppy Parade and Whisper White cardstock, along with leaves and a bow from Granny Apple Green. I've stamped a greeting from Happy Thoughts in Black Memento Ink onto Whisper White and diecut using the shape from the same Pieced Blooms Dies. All these pieces were glued into place.

To finish off I've added some embellishments to the panel as per the original. Mine were my go to Flowers for Every Season Gems.

Not like me, but I've even managed to show some inside love today, this time the trim is Granny Apple Green:

Hard to see the bling:

We look forward to you adding your project to our Facebook Challenge page using the link over on the right and tagging it #CTC309 so we can find it, let us know which bundle you are CASEing as well.

Next up we have our friend Siobhan and I can't wait to see what she has to show us this week:
