#CTC316 Goodbye Favourite Retiring Project

Say Goodbye to your Favourite Retiring Project!

Page 177 was my inspiration:

Onto a base of Mango Melody cardstock, I've adhered a panel of True Love DSP diecut with the more intricate of the Best Plaid Builder dies. I've added the Mossy Meadow lines diecut from the same Best Plaid Builder dies.

I fussy cut some of the flowers from a sheet of True Love DSP (sssh, they're actually the broken images from the edge of the page, but because of the greeting I can get away with using them on this card). I've coloured them with the retiring Mango Melody Stampin' Blends and adhered them behind a Rectangle Stitched Diecut which had been stamped with Memento Black ink using a greeting from Happiest of Birthdays.

I've also added some Bumblebee In-Color Ribbon behind the greeting and popped Stampin' Dimensionals to the greeting and flowers to adhere them to the card.

Who said Best Plaid Builder dies were only for masculine cards?

And with that we bid farewell to the 2020-21 Annual catalogue. Why don't you CASE your favourite retiring project and add it to our Facebook page using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Next up we have Julia and her pretty floral card, ooh is that new product I spy?

#CTC258 Wrapped in Plaid Suite

We are back to the Holiday catalogue and the Wrapped in Plaid suite on pages 12-17:

No photo description available.

The card at the top of page 13 appealed to me:

I've chosen to use a base of Cherry Cobbler, and my stitched layer is Wrapped in Plaid Specialty DSP. I've punched six trees out of a co-ordinating colour with the Pine Tree Punch and embossed each with a different 3D Embossing Folder. They are Country Floral; Subtle, Tufted, Pinewood Planks, Layered Leaves and Tin Tile.

Every second three is raised with Stampin' Dimensionals. Close up of the Cherry Cobbler trees card:

The greeting is from Perfectly Plaid and Night of Navy ink. Here's the Night of Navy trees card:

A little hard to see the stitching on the plaid but this one shows it better, the Shaded Spruce trees card:

Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to play along. Create your card, add the #CTC258 and post to our Facebook page using the link over to the right. Time now to visit Judy and see what she has for us this week:

#CTC230 Favourite Retiring Big Shot Project

Plenty of choice this week as the crew go to their Favourite Retiring Big Shot Project

Image may contain: text

I've given some love to my Swirly Snowflakes thinlits as they haven't been used in a while, choosing the card in the picture on page 100 - top left

I've used the swirly flourish die from this set and randomly die cut a card from Delightfully Detailed Memories & More Card pack. What I forgot about when I chose this die was that the whole middle piece drops out, but thankfully the Press and Seal came to the rescue and made it easy to line everything up. I've popped the card and all the loose pieces onto Stampin' Dimensionals and placed on a thick Whisper White card.

The greeting is from Perennial Birthday, stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and cut out with the Rectangle Stitched framelits. I've adhered some Silver Mini Sequin Trim and a couple of Silver Foil swirls behind the greeting and also popped it up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Using the Memories and More card made the top layer just a bit sturdier

What's your favourite retiring Big Shot item? Why not use it to make a project and paste to our Facebook page before next Sunday evening? Just use the link over on the right.

Time now to head over to our lovely Kelly's page and see what she's been up to:
