#CTC360 CASE a Masking Project

CASE a Masking Project from either catalogue:

I've chosen the image on the left of Page 26:

I used a page from a telephone directory to tear my edging and held a piece of Basic White cardstock in place with washi tape then added my masking over the top with more washi tape. Using the Blender Brush I used first Daffodil Delight, then Bumblebee finishing with Calypso Coral to create the background.

The Lovely You images are stamped with Soft Succulent ink. I randomly stamped the patterns, with one of the patterns being stamped twice to make it a little darker. I didn't like the gold embossed image I chose so swapped it out for two pieces of foliage diecut with the Meadow Dies from Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen cardstock.

The base card is Evening Evergreen and the DSP used is Tidings of Christmas. The greeting stamped in Soft Succulent from So Lovely was diecut with a Meadow Die and added over the stems with Stampin' Dimensionals.

We hope you get the chance to join the challenge this week. Mask up and show us what you create using the link over on the right before next Sunday evening.

Next up we have Michelle with a little bit of monkey business:

Social Stamping - Baby

Back for the Social Stamping monthly blog hop with Kelly Kent and friends and our theme this month is 'Baby'! I can't wait to see everyone's take on this theme, but I've gone with a traditional just for baby card. If you've just visited Denise, I want to thank her for lovely intro, so nice to know I've met her in person and appreciate the kind words x

I've diecut the words Welcome and Baby; and a tiny heart using the Well Written dies from Pool Party cardstock. I've used the Layering Circles to cut a circle of So Saffron cardstock for my balloon.

The little animals from Special Someone have been stamped onto Whisper White cardstock using Smokey Slate for the outline and So Saffron for the body colour. I've made a mask from scrap paper and popped it over the raccoon before stamping the squirrel. Prior to adhering the balloon, I used Smokey Slate to stamp the string the raccoon is holding. I've also sponged around the edge of the balloon with Smokey Slate to give it a little depth with a little heavier colour on the left. After adhering the words I've added a bit of highlight to the right of the balloon using the Chalk Pen.

My top layer has been added to a mat of Pool Party and adhered to a thick Whisper White card base. The little heart is a gift from the little squirrel.

Thanks again to Kelly for hosting us and thank you for stopping by. Please carry on over to see what the lovely Sheila has created for us this month:

#CTC277 CASE the Colours of Flowers For Every Season DSP

Case the colours of the Flowers for Every Seasons Designer Series Paper - Magenta Madness, Cinnamon Cider, Bumblebee, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight

I've taken the opportunity to break out the Tasteful Touches stamp set and all the colours of the CASE which happen to be the 2020-22 New In-colors.

Using Whisper White cardstock, I started with the flowers and Magenta Madness, masking before stamping the 2nd flower. I've continued masking for the rest of the stamping, adding the leaves in Just Jade. The feathers were stamped off once using Bumblebee, and the same stamping off once with the Cinnamon Cider and the lacy image I've grounded my piece with. It ended a bit squarely, so I've masked again and sneaked one more little flower image on the right hand side to soften the edge. I added another smaller image to the top right to finish it off.

The greeting is from the same set and stamped in Misty Moonlight. I've then mounted the stamped layer onto Misty Moonlight cardstock and adhered to a base of thick Whisper White cardstock.

We'd love to see what you create using the same palette. Please add your photo to our Facebook page using the image over on the right.

Next up we have our Queensland friend Julia:

#CTC225 - Easter

I trust you are enjoying a relaxing long weekend whilst remembering the reason for the season. This week the crew are CASEing anything Easter.

I have gone with the bunny theme Easter often represents but as I look at it again it - it could be a farmer's worst nightmare, especially where we are currently holidaying in the beautiful Central Otago area where these critters are notoriously unpopular.

I have used the stamp sets Best Bunny and Perfectly Paired and the masking technique. I used my Stamparatus and Early Espresso marker to get the boat and cabin in position on Whisper White card, with Bermuda Bay for the waves, then masked the boat to add the bunnies.

Stampin' Blends for colouring and a couple of clouds fussy cut and popped up with dimensionals. I used a scrap of Pool Party and Labeller Alphabet for 'Easter' with 'happy' die cut from Well Written thinlits and Early Espresso cardstock. This was attached to a mat of Early Espresso onto a Pool Party base.

Have you made an Easter card and would like to join the challenge?  Post it to our Facebook page using the link over to the right. Now please go visit my lovely friend Julia and her stunning project
