#CTC186 - Birthday

Hello again, here we are CASEing the Birthday section, pages 66-79

I happened to have been playing with the Best Bunny bundle on page 36 recently, and had a little fellow just waiting for a card to hop onto. I found it on page 77:

I went with a card base of Blackberry Bliss (loved this colour when it was last here and pleased to welcome it back!). The Detailed Floral thinlits provided the cutouts of my Whisper white layer, which I've wrapped with Silver Baker's Twine adding a bow, and popped onto the base with Stampin' Dimensionals. In lieu of a scalloped circle, I've used a Mint Macaroon shape cut from the Foliage Frame framelits. I've cut a Whisper White circle with the Layering Circles framelits, and used Pineapple Punch to sponge the colour behind my featured Best Bunny. This is a co-ordinating Punch and stamp set, and he has 3 delightful expressions to choose from. I've stamped this guy in Gray Granite and used the (retired) Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blends to colour with.  The greeting is stamped in Blackberry Bliss and comes from the set Happy Birthday Gorgeous, with a little banner punched at each end.  A few iridescent sequins to finish.

Hope you feel inspired to play along and post using the link over on the right. Meanwhile, please pop in and see what Rachel has created for us this week:

CASEing the Catty - #CTC141 Birthday

Welcome to another week of inspiration and thank you for joining me from Megan's blog. We are CASEing Birthdays from pages 68-85 this time round.

Page 74 provided my motivation, and although it appears as a bag, I've swapped it for a card, which it will be a little late to the post! Apologies in advance, but hopefully I'll be forgiven when it arrives.

Have you seen the Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP?  Ooh, it is lovely!! It was definitely calling me to this picture but I toned down my colours slightly. I chose to use a card base of Soft Sky teamed up with the Soft Sky version of the chevron pattern DSP.  I used a strip of Soft Sky card and repeat stamped words from Happy Birthday Gorgeous in  Lemon Lime Twist ink, then sponged around the edges. The greeting is from Confetti Celebration, stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and made into a banner by scoring either side of the words, and then scoring again approx 1/8" away then folding so that the banner sits up a little. More words from both sets stamped in Night of Navy with dimensionals popped behind to hold banner in place. Fussy cut Berry Burst roses with Powder Pink colouring replace the balloons, with leaves from the same set switched for the string.

Sorry - Forgot to Share...

As I sit down to write my latest post, I realise I forgot to share the last project with you I entered in the CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge #CTC132...

My case is of Page 76, I made a little note card to fit inside the Mini Treat Bag which I used the Wood Texture DSP for - loved the look. On the inside back I used some of the Color Theory crackly paper in the Berry Burst, and some acetate over the circle shape so the card didn't snag on the greeting. The card and envelope have been decorated with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamps, and It's Your Day is from the same set, which I embossed in white to stand out on the wood grain. I cut two Happy Birthday images from Lemon Lime Twist and glued them together. Another image from Berry Burst was glued to the card first, then I popped the card inside the envelope and lined up the image on the front so it hid the card message. Some linen thread to finish and stay with the rustic theme.
