CASEing the Come to Gather Suite pages 46 - 51 of the Holiday Catalogue this week:
I've picked the card top right of page 47:
I've gone back to my old favourite card base of thick Whisper White and mounted it with a sheet of Garden Lane DSP.
I've used Nature's Roots dies to cut the rose leaves from the Mossy Meadow mat I went with. My co-ordinating colour is Pear Pizzazz and that was for more rose leaves.
Do you read the tips in the catalogues? Well this time I did and went with it. After diecutting my leaves I spritzed them with water before doing the embossing details. Worked a treat!
I've stamped some roses with the Forever Lovely stamp set in Petal Pink onto Whisper White and cut them out. My foliage at the top right is Mint Macaron cardstock using the Lovely Flowers dies. The ribbon and bow are made with the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo pack and the Birthday Wishes is a 'spare' on my craft desk from a recent project using Varied Vases. Love using up those spare 'bits' - stamped in Pretty Peacock, I think it adds just enough variety to make it fit.
WOW! Aren't those leaves dramatic? Rooted in Nature is a neglected favourite of mine too.
ReplyDeleteSo many layers but they work so well together. The die cutting, embossing, stamping and layering all make for a lovely card. I think I need to have another good look at my catalogue. I seem to have missed seeing a number of great cards!
ReplyDeleteSandra, your card is beautiful. All of your layers and colours just work together perfectly.

ReplyDeleteThis is pretty as a picture, Sandra. Those leaves are just gorgeous. The petal pink flowers provide just the right contrast to all that green.
