CASEing the Let it Snow Suite from pages 18-23.
I've chosen this snowman card on page 18:
Onto a base of Thick Whisper White I've added a sheet of the stunning Feels Like Frost Specialty DSP, I have to say the photography in this set has definitely captured some fabulous winter scenes. And while where you live may not lend itself to a wintry festive season, don't let that put you off, as on the reverse side are gorgeous metallic patterns - another "has to be seen to be appreciated" product.
I've added a greeting from Itty Bitty Christmas in Night of Navy and seriously - that could be your card - the DSP is too nice to cover up!
Back to the challenge. I kept with much the same layout and my snowmen became snowbirds using an image from Free As A Bird. I decided to leave them without the embossed background from the original and the only colour added was their scarves and a hat like the snowmen were wearing using Stampin' Markers. I used some retired Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper behind the image and popped it all up with Stampin' Dimensionals. A simple bow and job done.
We'd love to have you play along. Just add your image to our Facebook page using the link over to the right and the #CTC245 so we can find you before next Sunday evening.
Now it's over to see the lovely card Rebecca has created using the same pack of DSP!
Oh the cute birds with scarves is awesome. And yes the images on this DSP are glorious. Wonderful card.
ReplyDeleteThis DSP is so lovely that you can just add a sentiment and be done. I’m glad you didn’t though as those birds are so cute with the scarves and hat!
ReplyDeleteThe little birds have made me chuckle. We had a burst of spring sunshine through the week and over the weekend we are back to 10 degrees so I expect our busy nest-building birds wouldn't mind some extra warmth too.
ReplyDeleteThe dressing up of those birdies is too cute for words!! You could have so much fun with that. Love how simple these cards are, but really lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a super cute card, Sandra and a great CASE. Love the pop from the glimmer paper, too.
ReplyDeleteHow clever are your birds!! Too cute!!
